The D7H comes with a 3306 direct injection turbo, six-cylinder engines, which produce 215 flywheel horsepower (FWHP). Other specifications include; standard elevated sprocket, multi oil-cooled clutches and brakes, a sealed and lubricated track and closed centre hydraulics.

Caterpillar 325's C4.4 ACERT Tier 4 Final/Stage IV engine burns 22% less fuel as compared to the Tier 3/stage IIIA engine that it replaced. It is also engineered to run on biodiesel of B20. The CAT can lift a maximum of 12,650kg at 4.5m above the ground level which is 8% more in weight lift when you compare with the old model it replaces. It can work up to an altitude of 3000 m with its engine still running smoothly.
